Original analyses of public procurement data and engineering guides for buyers of distribution transformers, package substations, switchgear and power cables. Figures come from published government data; each article states its source and method so you can check it.

How we work with the data: we download award notices from national procurement portals and open-contracting datasets, filter them by equipment keywords, then remove service contracts and duplicates by hand. Totals are a lower bound of what a keyword search finds, not a full market size. Where a figure is an estimate, the article says so. Market-specific requirements, such as import conformity schemes, are covered on our country pages for Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria.
