Trafovia supplies the equipment between the medium-voltage network and the load: distribution transformers (oil-immersed, cast-resin dry-type and pole-mounted), package and prefabricated substations, ring main units, MV switchgear and LV switchboards, and MV/LV power cables and overhead conductors.
Offers are prepared against the buyer’s own document: a utility tender schedule, an EPC bill of quantities or a single-line diagram. Each line states the offered model, the applicable IEC standard, guaranteed losses where relevant, the type-test reports that cover the design and the delivery basis.
Our buyers are utilities and public agencies, EPC contractors, and local manufacturers or distributors that need components or complete units under their own nameplate. Our current market focus is Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.
The certificate holder
is always named.
Type-test reports are issued to the manufacturer that built and tested the design. When we offer a design, we name that manufacturer, the laboratory, the report number and date, and the rating it covers. We do not relabel reports, and a report for one rating is not presented as covering another.
Where a tender asks for a manufacturer’s authorisation letter, it is issued by the producing factory for that tender. Factory photographs, capacity figures and project references appear on this site only once they are verified and cleared for publication.
