Quality starts
with the specification.
A project framework for defining the equipment, reviewing the evidence and agreeing the inspection scope.
View the project stages ↗Defined equipment.
Defined responsibilities.
The manufacturer, model and scope of supply belong in the project proposal.
Trafovia works with manufacturing and OEM partners in China. Production location, inspection arrangements and document coverage are confirmed for the proposed supplier and order.
Our Kunming location is the brand office. Factory-specific photographs and capability information are published when verified.

What we ask the factory to show
Routine tests are made on every unit. Type tests are made once on a representative design; check that the report covers the rating you buy.
| Equipment | Routine tests (every unit) | Type and special tests (per design) |
|---|---|---|
| Oil-immersed transformers IEC 60076-1/-2/-3/-5 | Winding resistance; voltage ratio and phase displacement; short-circuit impedance and load loss; no-load loss and current; applied and induced voltage tests | Temperature rise; lightning impulse; sound level (IEC 60076-10); short-circuit withstand (IEC 60076-5) as a special test |
| Cast-resin dry-type transformers IEC 60076-11 | As above, plus partial discharge measurement | Temperature rise; lightning impulse; sound level; climatic, environmental and fire behaviour classes (C, E, F) where specified |
| RMUs and MV switchgear IEC 62271-200 | Power-frequency voltage on main circuits; auxiliary circuit tests; main circuit resistance; mechanical operation; gas tightness for sealed units | Dielectric; temperature rise; short-time and peak withstand current; making and breaking; mechanical endurance; IP degree; internal arc classification (IAC) where claimed |
| Package substations IEC 62271-202 | Wiring and functional checks; dielectric tests on auxiliary circuits | Enclosure temperature-rise class; internal arc (IAC-A/AB) where claimed; mechanical and IP tests of the enclosure |
| LV switchboards IEC 61439-1/-2 | Routine verification: construction, wiring, dielectric, insulation resistance, functional checks | Design verification: temperature rise, short-circuit withstand, dielectric properties, clearances and creepage |
| MV XLPE cables IEC 60502-2 | Conductor resistance; partial discharge; voltage test | Bending test with partial discharge; tan δ; heating cycle; impulse; 4-hour voltage test |
